Can I get involved?
All StHAs hold regular board meetings in public, which anyone is allowed to attend.
Some of the more forward-thinking StHAs are looking at how to involve members of the public in their processes. Greater Manchester StHA, for example, has established a forum called "Citizens for Health", which is made up of local people who are involved in public involvement in healthcare. You will have to see whether similar arrangements are in place in your local StHA.
When they are considering an issue, StHAs often issue "Consultation Documents", setting out the matter(s) they are looking into, and inviting responses from anyone who wants to put forward a point of view.
